I checked the reviews before I bought the camera (I always do before I buy). The reviewers gave it high marks and I totally agree. It takes great pictures and the zoom (10x) is really fantastic. I used zoom to take a picture of a truck where I couldn't read the sign. The built-in flash is great. The 3 inch screen made it easy for me to read what was in the truck. The panorama function is really great. I photographed my garden from side to side, just standing in one spot in front of my house and turning around. The video setting is great too. I used it when filming my garden and gave an audio description of what I was looking at. And I could zoom in while filming. Other reviewers have mentioned noise when using the zoom when shooting movies, but my camera did not. make every sound I notice. I hope it stays that way. You need to buy a memory card separately. I bought an 8GB memory card (from Lexar) and it works great. You can record movies from just under 2 hours to over 5 hours depending on the frame size (you set the frame size in the menu). Remember that the manual that comes with it is small like everything else today you need the one that came with the camera Download disc to get full manual to read on computer. Best money I've spent in a long time! It weighs only 7.1 ounces. with battery. I recommend buying an extra battery and case (no case is included).
