Most shots taken without zoom come out great, especially shots of people and still objects. This is a decent camera - full disclosure: I'm very picky and have sent back several other cameras before keeping this one. The image quality on the LCD is very good; the actual image on the computer is less glossy, but for $150 I can't complain.
