Didn't realize this when I first got this, but the stone I have isn't really flat. Either that or it deformed and wasn't flat anymore. If I put it on a tile and rock it back and forth, it definitely wobbles. Maybe I just got a bad batch, or maybe I just left it as is (sort of just sat in a room with my other whetstones). Now you might think that when lapping a whetstone this wouldn't be a problem, but my royal whetstone definitely came out crooked. Looking at the profile I saw that one corner was lower than the others (sorry I don't have a photo, I gave this whetstone to my sister to keep her knives sharp). I recommend anyone who buys this to check their lapping stone is flat before it's too late to get a replacement.
