Perfect power accessory solution

This worked great to power a 555 hour turntable I made using a 9 volt transformer and this regulator is the bomb! I couldn't make one for the price and I got TWO of them! Also compact! The 555 timer circuit is connected to the reed switch on my garage door. When the door is open, an LED flashes in the laundry room. There were times I forgot to close the main door. That gets my attention! Problem solved!
