As another reviewer said, it looks like cardboard. Maybe a little better, but not likely. If you sand it on a belt sander when taped to the knife scale it will rip at the ends like paper and tape your belts together. This material is rubbish and I would not recommend it for knife making. can you make it work Yes. but there is a much better material that costs a little more and doesn't crack at the ends when sanded. Don't waste your time with this!
