Review on Hansen Global 9301 Socket Tray by Joshua Mccall

Very disappointed! on socket wrench

I went through the description to determine exactly how the sockets would stay in place if the holder was moved. NO DESCRIPTION! When they arrived I realized what it was and I'm VERY disappointed! Best way to describe it: remember when you got your first set of heads (everything fell apart, no retainer because it cost $)? They took a scrap board, hammered 10d nails straight into the surface of the board, and noted the measurements on the base. Drop each socket onto each nail in the correct order and you ended up with a bad socket holder/organizer. That's it! Swap the trash board for a plastic base and the 10d nails for a plastic stud and you get the same as the poor man's holder/organizer, only a VERY EXPENSIVE version! I was expecting each rosette to have some sort of friction/fixation to prevent it from slipping when moved/hanging vertically, rather than a slippery pin which (unlike a head nail) allows the rosette to slide off easily. I use my tools. everywhere, everywhere, everywhere; my house, sons, daughters, outside in my cars, in the fields, in my yard. Appliances don't just break in my garage! I've been looking for an outlet organizer/holder for many years. I have ½" drive + stroke, 3/8 drive, ¼" drive, BOTH SAE and metric and shallow and deep + special purpose! I have tried spring loaded base metal types, high friction plastic cups and metal/plastic cups. Nothing works properly (magnet tried ONCE, sockets magnetized, EVERYTHING sticks). I think they'll be fine as long as you've never moved them and put them in a toolbox that can be knocked over or thrown on its side. If you work in one place and don't need to take your tools with you, put these devices on a shelf or in a drawer of a stationary tool box, they work great. They look very nice and the dimensions are easy to read. Disappointment! I'm talking about her coming back.
