It does exactly what it's supposed to do and is easy to use. When you receive it you will see the cut flare in the tool, but the tool is not used, the cut bell is part of the test they all go through before being sold. Although the instructions are typical and poorly translated into English, they are easy to follow and when followed the tool creates perfect highlights at a 45 degree angle. The tool is a clutch tool so you can't turn it too far and crush the bell. After the clutch is released the instructions say you need to turn the knob 3 more turns to smooth out the flare and I suggest you follow those instructions. I did and the flash was perfect. It's the perfect tool for DIYers and maybe professionals who don't need to use it multiple times a day every day. It has a different clutch system than the Field Piece block and is probably more prone to wear and tear, but if you don't need as much durability, this tool will create perfect torches for you for less than half the price.
