Not suitable for typical vacuum lid applications. Does not tolerate heat well. Stretches and loses elasticity.
The plastic is a bit lighter than I expected. More problematic: when it gets hot, it softens/loses elasticity. Considering the typical use of vacuum caps, this is NOT very good. For me, what was initially a tight fit quickly became a loose one, and one even fell off. I think they will be fine for non-heat applications, but for most vacuum cap applications (e.g. engine bay etc.) I would say they are not suitable.
