If you are looking to remove the clutch damper on your Z31 chassis this is the part for you to need. You remove the hardline from the damper, the stock rubber hose is completely removed and you attach it directly to the slave cylinder and hardline. While it didn't put too much stress on the pedal, grip was crisper without a muddy or fuzzy feel. If you want more rigidity, go for a braided steel cord, which costs about $20. First off, it solved the grinding problem I was having. before you could feel the synchro bounce and drag a little with each shift, even when you were slowly moving with your foot fully on the ground, even to the point where you didn't want to get into 1st or reverse gear. now there is an almost imperceptible slip when shifting gears, but that is probably due to the age and improper handling of the transmission. Overall, this $9 modification (plus about $5 for brake fluid) made the car 100% more manageable and enjoyable.
