Review on COFAIR PRODUCTS DFB375 Barrier 2 Pack by Jeffrey Dunn

I decided to try this beam tape because it was significantly cheaper than the last product I bought. Big mistake. I should have known better. The strap is VERY thin with very little rubberized coating. Compared to another product I've used on another deck, this one is twice as thin and the top almost feels like paper. Likewise. Glue is TERRIBLE. I cleaned the beams and let them dry for 2 days. The tape stuck easily, but when folded on the sides of the joist it just wouldn't stick. The next day, parts that looked like they were glued came loose. Dissatisfied. The instructions mention the use of "fasteners". I ended up having to go back with a stapler and apply tape every 18 inches on either side of each joist. If you don't mind hitting the stapler a few hundred times, then go for it. I'd rather not, don't know how long it will last, but I won't buy this product again.
