Ideal for installing a new deck or remodeling.

This will definitely extend the life of your wood joints and decking. Do not wear gloves when installing - this material is very sticky - GRIN!

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Fading

Great product for building supplies

We used this for joists on our patio. Ride with ease even in cold weather. Would definitely buy again. Our bars have been doubled - just 3 inches. Well covered.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

It looks like it will do the job

The tape feels thick and the adhesive side is really really sticky, but we still had adhesion issues on the sides of our deck joists. The upper seems to be holding up well so it should do the job.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Adhesive tape does not stick to pages 2x4

Adhesive tape sticks easily. However, the 3" wide tape on the 2X4 boards did not stay attached to the sides. The boards were sanded and cleaned before the tape was applied. At night half of the tape was no longer attached to the sides of the 2x4 boards. The Band is of good quality, time will tell.

Pros
  • Easy-to-read control panel
Cons
  • Problem

Great joist tape best build material

Yes they warp a little in the hot sun but you have to spend more time installing it to make sure it doesn't stretch and buckle a bit. Don't install it before laying decking or when really hot days come - 85F plus. leaves a lot of glue residue, meaning elbow greasing is required if you change your mind about the location. it's tight and cozy

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Not trendy

edges if you want it to be cozy. For my purpose I use it on a hanging joist where the joists rest on tape. The tape is slightly glued to the joist by itself, but not actually glued to the edges. It would probably hold up better if I didn't set it to a 40 degree day. I've tried routing it along the vertical edge of the beam but it doesn't hold up really well, I'll use clamps there. This tape works, the backing paper came off easily (some have complained this is an issue with other brands) and it

Pros
  • . Easy to use.
Cons
  • . Functionality.

Very thin and doesn't hold up well.

I decided to try this beam tape because it was significantly cheaper than the last product I bought. Big mistake. I should have known better. The strap is VERY thin with very little rubberized coating. Compared to another product I've used on another deck, this one is twice as thin and the top almost feels like paper. Likewise. Glue is TERRIBLE. I cleaned the beams and let them dry for 2 days. The tape stuck easily, but when folded on the sides of the joist it just wouldn't stick. The next day,

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Expandable

One of the BEST butyl/beam tapes!

Built a dock (seawater) and needed additional beam protection as Southwest Florida can be cruel to wood (even pressure treated wood used in ship building). I tried three different brands before settling on this and let me tell you that I don't understand any of the reviews on it that say it doesn't stick. Unfortunately, people who don't think anything leave negative reviews because I almost missed them. So frustrating! Look folks, if this happens, YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG! Take a moment to wipe or

Pros
  • Best in Niche
Cons
  • Definitely Bad Product
