Overall I'm very happy with this lock. We didn't have a bolt and wanted a smart lock. As others have said, this was the easiest option. Installation was easy and the August app did what I wanted. The part of the setup where we connected it to HomeKit didn't connect. I've tried multiple times, trying to add it directly from the Home app (not the August app). Nothing helped. I contacted support in August with a screenshot of the error I received. They asked me to send logs. They then told me they had opened a "bug report" and would let me know if they knew more. I asked when that would be and they said it could be a few months or more. I won't give this product just one star because it REALLY does everything I wanted and the August app gives me 90% of the functionality I wanted. But I bought it specifically because it was HomeKit compatible, which doesn't seem to be the case. At least not now. I'll be happy to come back and update my review and rating if support gets back to me with a solution. But if you're expecting HomeKit compatibility, you'll have to look elsewhere for now (though I know there aren't many).
