At first I wanted to buy a "Value" version of this card (same manufacturer but a few dollars cheaper) but I read on Dell boards that this card will not work with the Dell Vostro line. So I bought this version as I've used it with Dell (it's an XPS now but I'll be porting the card to my Vostro 410 in a few months). Very easy installation - just plug into a free slot, turn on power. , and a new hardware wizard appeared. There are 2 drivers for XP on the CD - not sure of the difference (if any). Windows loaded the driver despite showing a warning that the driver was not verified by XP. No problem installing it and it works great. Use it with an old HP laser printer (4M) and a DOS application (yes, DOS. It's a legacy application that cannot be ported to Windows). Wanted to experiment a bit with an old printer, and also DOS can't print from a USB port unless you go through all the tricks. The old-fashioned LPT1, on the other hand, can be used without drama. I like it when plug and play actually means plug and play!
