You won't need this product until you see how much easier and less messy it is. It's not easy to close when you have a thick piece of tofu, but it works quickly and pulls out a lot of liquid, much more than with heavy plates etc. I love that I can open, tuck in and put the tofu in. in the fridge for later. I couldn't do it with a cutting board or plates. After pressing, simply remove the tofu and rinse the press. It doesn't take up too much space.
