My seats sometimes worked and sometimes didn't. engines fail. I didn't want to change the motors so I took a chance it was just a switch as it's easy to change (4 bolts to remove the seats and some wiring harnesses under the seats). I would also advise, since your seats are dismantled, to spray some sort of lube on the corkscrew along the rails. I used white lithium aerosol grease. I'm not sure if it's the right thing for this app, but it rarely disappoints. What I don't like is the $90 cost of this part. After installation, my seats now work like new. If it rusts on the passenger side I'll probably take the time to take it apart and clean the contacts as it gets a lot less use.
