I took the chance to buy this online and I'm glad I did - it came with an alternator and is better than the original Ford belt. Gates is little more than the replacement belts you get from online auto parts stores (and in-store), but the quality and noticeable durability make it worth the money. This belt was perfect for a 2004 Ford Expedition with a 5.4 liter V8 engine. It's also completely devoid of any noticeable noise at all. We strongly recommend getting a Gates belt instead of cheaper replacement belts.
