This is a great option to get your own modem/router and save some money in the future. It's faster than the included rental. I get about 10 Mbit/s additional speed via a direct gigabit connection. The block looks cool. I'm a gamer and it fits perfectly :) The wifi connection speed is about 5Mbps faster than renting. The range is great for my 1 bedroom apartment. Setting up was a breeze. Ignore the negative reviews on this. I have connected all devices. I called the Comcast registrar and it was up and running in less than 10 minutes.
