This dog coat is very well made and seems very comfortable for my whippet. He's picky about dog clothes and will let you know in small ways that he's not happy. He feels very comfortable in this coat - both outside and inside. It attaches with velcro straps that, if you press hard, will stay in place even as the dog runs and jumps. An added bonus is that this coat is reversible! I wasn't aware of that when I bought it. This coat probably won't do the trick in a very cold climate, but I think it will suffice in my part of the country. The temperature that morning when these pictures were taken was 45 degrees. Of course, the manufacturer does not claim that it is effective in extremely cold climates. I recommend following the manufacturer's size chart when making your selection. The first photo shows what the cloak looks like in normal lighting. The second photo shows the cloak in low light. You can see that the gray surface reflects the light very well and looks white in low light. This is a good security feature. I believe I would easily notice it at night just by shining a flashlight in my dog's direction.
