Good entertainment for the price

It won't break you. This is a small Tesla coil. The arcs produced are only a few millimeters long, and when you plug it into a sound source the sound is very quiet (although loud enough that you can hear it clearly). This is not a topic for demonstrations. It's new, but if you just want a fun toy to build at home then this will serve you well. It works as well as one might expect, especially for the price. It was fun collecting them and playing with them every now and then. A few things to note keep me from giving it five stars: 1) The instructions are clear enough to (barely) read, but not of very high quality. If you are totally new to electronics, this may be a bit of a problem for you. It's definitely possible to find out, but make sure you fully understand what you're doing before you begin, or you could make a devastating mistake. You should also be aware that this kit requires soldering. If you've never done this before, this is actually a worthwhile project to explore, but make sure you check the source on how it works for more detailed instructions. 2) The package does not include a power adapter. You need your own fork. 3) One of the wires is too short. It achieves what it needs - narrowly - but it would be better if the manufacturer gave the buyer a little more options to work with. Despite these shortcomings, I can unreservedly recommend this product. I was very happy with my purchase and my little Tesla Coil now sits proudly on my desk along with some of my other favorite toys.
