Works great. There are hot spots on the hob. Tested with an infrared thermometer, the connector end is 20-30*F hotter than the other end. The middle is pretty flat. It browns steaks well and leaves nice grill marks. The smoke is not bad at all (there is some, but not enough to smoke the kitchen for a long time). Suitable for a light breakfast. Only criticism is that the area could be a bit bigger, but for two people that's not bad. To give you an idea, you can cook a whole bunch of asparagus on the edge of the pan, but there's no room for anything else. Ideal for indoor grilling, especially for two adults. The non-stick surface feels very good. Only time will tell if it holds up. This makes cleaning easier, but is a little tedious to clean in the sink. chaos
