It works as intended. I can change profiles on the fly when I want to watch a movie or play a game, and then switch back to a custom profile for work and regular use. Unlike my old monitor, this one is very easy to view at all settings and you don't have to play with the brightness as much. So far I haven't had any problems. It's also worth noting that there are USB extension cables on the back of the monitor, but they're difficult to access if you want to quickly transfer a file to a flash drive. This is easily fixed with a small extension cord, but you'll have to shell out an extra $2 or $3. In addition, speakers can be connected with these extension cables, for which the monitor also has a small audio output. He brought the mini displayport cable that I'm using now so I didn't have to buy extra cables. Here are some of the features that helped me decide on this monitor, and I'll write them in this review for future reference: - 99% sRGB - 1900 x 1200 (great for digital illustration work, but movies can have large black bars above and it's not that important to me.) - Custom settings allow you to adjust RGB separately (I know you can do this on other monitors, but my old monitor didn't have this setting, something to keep in mind when using it are migrating from an old monitor.) - The stand helps a lot if you have a Wacom Cintiq on your desk. You can raise the monitor to its highest point and position the Centiq in front of you to create a comfortable dual-monitor configuration without having to look around. Works independently of software calibration. What I mean is that you don't have to do any settings on your computer to make it look good. Just set everything to the default settings and the monitor's built-in settings editor should be enough to make the picture look great. (I should note that I'm using the same custom settings as detailed here: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_u2415.htm). what others have. Maybe I got lucky, but if this happens to you, don't hesitate to ask for an exchange or refund, my device is working as expected again. I had no experience with Dell as I didn't need to contact them - I haven't had any flickering issues, if this happens to you your device definitely is
