Disappointingly good scissors knife

I have a few Shun knives and am very happy with them. I've been using old IKEA kitchen scissors to butcher chickens (i.e. cut out the backbones) and thought it was time to update them. I bought Shun shears thinking they would easily cut chicken bones. Wow what a disappointment. Totally useless for the chicken. I put these scissors in a drawer and haven't used them since. I should have returned but it's too late.
