Review on Autel MaxiCOM MK808BT Scanner: Upgraded Wireless Version with 25 All System Diagnostic Services- ABS Bleed, Oil Reset, EPB, SAS, DPF, BMS, Throttle, Injector Coding by Eric Surabhi

I bought the MP808 and MK808BT through Revain. Both devices did not connect to my WiFi. Both of them kept giving me an authentication problem. I have a fairly reliable and secure network at home, multiple switches, routers, and multiple WiFi hotspots. While I don't consider myself a networking expert, I know what I'm doing when it comes to networks and devices. to connect with them. After much research on Google and communication with Autel customer service, it was found that these two devices are not intended for sale in the US market. Why? Because according to Autel's US customer service, the Wi-Fi, WPA, and WEP security protocols used here are different from those used in other countries, and I had to buy the device from an authorized Autel dealer in the US to use Wi-Fi to activate worked correctly. He then asked me where I bought them and I told him Revane. He said that ALL sellers on Revain sell devices intended for sale in the Asian/European markets. While you can connect to a network with a connected device, it really defeats the purpose of a WiFi-enabled device and you absolutely need internet access to get updates, access tech manuals, etc. You can connect WiFi if you know your security protocols disable but then let yourself be hacked by amateurs. I ended up paying more and buying one through an authorized US retailer and it works great which I highly recommend! This is a great diagnostic tool! Just don't buy from any of the sellers through Revain!
