I already have an Eheim 100 air pump. It's great: very quiet (approx. 48 dB(A), comparable to the ambient noise in my area) and durable. The pump I received is different from the picture in the description and the pump I already have (see photo). This other design is not so good. The noise level is 20% higher (58 dB(A)) and the rubber feet don't stay in place (my version of the pump has non-removable rubber feet). The resulting pump is not suitable for me as my fish tank is a desk in my bedroom and I float the air at night. The noise is too high for the night hours. All in all, it's still a decent product. The pump is quiet enough if you put it in a closet. It should also last quite a long time. But I would not have placed my order if I had known that the pump I would receive is not exactly the same as the one I already have.
