Works well but range isn't very strong, and yes - forget TIVO
This works great on my desktop computer. I get a "low" signal averaging 24 kbps when my wifi router is about 40 feet away through two walls, one of which is brick. Next to it is my MacBook, which seems to be running at almost full power. It might not be fair to compare the two for a ranking, but this is a "benchmark" of sorts. And yes I tried it on my TIVO and it recognized it correctly and went through most of the setup and then didn't get an IP from DHCP. I tried using a static IP and it still didn't work. I think it's worth the price for normal computer usage.
