The install didn't go bad, it's one of those things, if you do it a second time it will be so quick and easy to do. Since this was my first time (maybe yours too) I found that I did some steps twice because the manual didn't make it that obvious to get it right the first time. If you take your time and really think about it, you should be fine. The performance of the intake system is great! The car is much more responsive in the lower gears and I think I have more mpg in the upper gears (highway) but it's hard to tell as on paved roads I have less mpg from pushing harder and harder on the pedal. ever. I read other reviews and was considering buying this unit because they said it was noisy. This thing is louder than I could have imagined based on the reviews! It's so loud that you can't get used to it in time as I thought (by turning on the radio). It reminds me of the drying cycle in an automatic car wash. It's a little embarrassing when you have a passenger in the car who doesn't respect the performance you're getting through all that noise. If you still use your VT to go shopping with your wife on the weekends, I don't recommend this purchase.
