I chose the clips/clips for a skinny tie as I only fasten the back end of the tie to the shirt placket (to keep the tie in place on windy days ). prevent the tie from falling into the water for any reason (always soaked wet shelf in the bathroom in the men's room of my work). The clips I received are smooth, easy to apply, have no burrs, and stay right where I place them. Although hidden behind a tie in my unique use, they remain everything a tie pin should be; beautiful, stable, well made and affordable. If they were stolen, I would have no hesitation in replacing them with the same ones.
