Review on Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice Arctic 195/60 R15 88T winter by Mateusz Jamroz ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fits the description completely, very satisfying.

Auto Skoda children, front-wheel drive, compare with the factory Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 215/60-16. Bought tires size 215/65-16 for 5200 per balloon. The sidewall seemed suspiciously thin, it's hard to say how it will behave with a side cut. It’s hard to say in terms of noise, here I think everything is purely subjective, after all, spikes are spikes, for any louder than summer tires. To date, I really liked the behavior of the car when driving on an asphalt track at speed. Over the summer Continental, the car left the rut "jerk", after a short delay, on Goodyear the rut is practically not felt and even leaves the relatively deep rut without any hint of a change in the trajectory. Again, I compare it with the tape continental: when driving at speed through puddles, when driving with both wheels, the car noticeably slowed down, when driving with one side, the car was quite noticeably taken to the side. Having fallen under heavy autumn rain, I realized that Goodyear does not notice puddles at all! there is no braking when entering the water, there is no withdrawal, even in an asphalt rut filled with water, the car does not scour. I did not expect winter tires to behave better than summer ones. Generally positive! I add a year later and about 10,000 km of run. Spikes: 90% percent in place. I consider it a very good indicator compared to many previous models. Patency: subjectively better than previous models. (I drive through sticky snow into the slides in the yard and near the garage, although I polished it on the previous car and rubber)

Pros
  • Behavior in an asphalt track Driving behavior in deep puddles
Cons
  • Suspiciously thin sidewall
