Review on Tekonsha 118800 Connector Upgraded Protected by Bradley Stewart

Please note my 22 RDX Advance Apt 1 had a red wire in the wiring harness but the last thing I wanted was to run the battery. As another reviewer pointed out, and also as shown in Uhaul's YouTube video for installing the 2021 Acura RDX trailer harness, you need to install a 7.5A fuse in the center fuse panel under the hood marked as a small trailer. (This video was also helpful in knowing which panels to remove to access the wiring harness behind the driver's side panel in the cargo area). You will then likely need to move the black wire pin in this unit's wire harness to match the location of the red wire on the car wire harness. what I confirmed was 12v. The e-trailer on the FAQ page says this voids the warranty so use at your own risk. Not sure why there isn't standard wiring for RDX as OEM wiring doesn't require battery power or modification. Cut the cable to fit through the grommet in the floor of the cargo area as the 4 pin connector was too large. Easy reconnection with insulated butt connectors. There is enough space behind the fairing where the car wiring harness is attached to the control box. It took a couple of hours, part of which was an extra trip to the shop for shock wire connectors. Tested with a 4-sheet tester. I haven't been able to connect to the trailer yet.
