Review on πŸ“Š Accurate Data Tracking and Versatile Control: Cateye Enduro CC-ED400 Computer by Craig Shah

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Robust, easy to use, simple functions

This CatEye works great and is easy to use as expected. I previously had a CatEye Mity 3 so I was familiar with the programming. But the Enduro reads at least twice as much as the Mity 3. The bracket on my Mity 3 was very brittle and ended up breaking too badly to repair. The Enduro was about double the price of a replacement Mity mount, so I decided to upgrade. As mentioned earlier, the tape attachment method is not that strong. But I've decided to use heavier zip ties with no tape, and both the computer and wheel speed sensor only move when I want them to. If you break a tree with a fork leg, the wheel speed sensor will move, but you can easily adjust it. I agree with others. The calorie counter and carbon offset features are useless and require two extra button presses to return to the top of the menu, but they don't detract from the console's quality or usability. over an hour on a moderate trail near my house last week for a total of 7 miles. I was drenched in sweat through my shirt, shorts, and socks. Lots of elevation changes along the way. So I laughed when Enduro said I only burned 67 calories. I believe if I hit 6mph I should be pedaling smoothly down Ocean Boulevard without breaking a sweat. So yeah, useless, but that's no reason not to buy a computer. If you want something more complex, spend big. If you want to control speed and distance with a rugged, easy-to-read computer with a beefy mount and cable, this Enduro model is perfect. A nice feature of upgrading from my Mity 3 is the auto start/stop so the time and average speed doesn't work when I'm taking a break for a stretch or running in the shop. Others complained that the wire wasn't long enough, but I had no problems. The length you need depends on how far from the steering wheel you want to install the computer. Regardless of what the manual says, you can mount the wheel speed sensor either high or low on the fork leg, as long as you can adjust the sensor about 5mm from the wheel magnet. Easy. Good product. I will recommend it to my friends and everyone.
