I bought Heco Victa Prime 702 espresso to replace Jamo 608 in connection with their move to a new kitchen, so I naturally compare with them. The Jamo 608s are pretty good speakers in their price range and have given me good sound for the past six years, but the Victa Prime 702 has raised the bar for my home theater even higher! The sound became more detailed and voluminous, on many recordings additional expressive elements appeared in the sound that I had either hardly heard before or they did not stand out in any way. Naturally, I left the settings on the Onkyo TX-NR609 receiver unchanged to understand how much everything has changed. Separately, it is worth noting the bass of the Heco floorstanders, which surprised me very much. My Velodyne EQ-Max 12 sub on the occasion of the upcoming holidays decided to fail (these subs, by the way, despite the well-known manufacturer, high cost and excellent bass have low-quality electronics due to which the power supply burns very often, I already burned it out for the second time despite on the use of a voltage stabilizer and a small load when used). So the bass of floor standing speakers surprised me to say the least! After a couple of hours of listening, it became clearer and deeper, and as a result, on many compositions at medium volume, it began to bass with a very pleasant depth and strength that for a moment I thought that my sub had come back to life. Of course, this did not happen, just floor-standing roofing felts from warming up (although two hours for warming up is certainly not enough) or from additional settings on the receiver (added bass a little to + 6dbts, out of 12 possible). So far I'm very happy with the right choice, really great speakers at a reasonable price! Separately, I paid attention to the finish, since there are a lot of complaints about swelling near the speakers of the vinyl film, I don’t know if it appears over time, but so far there is no hint of defects anywhere.
