After installing the fasteners, I hand tightened the nuts on the U-bolts, then hand tightened them with a wrench until snug. I found my positioning was wrong and went to loosen one of the fasteners only to find that the nut had punctured the threads. I then tried to loosen them all and found that they had all snapped off in place, making them impossible to remove with a wrench. At this point I decided they wouldn't be strong enough to be trusted and I had to cut the U-bolts off. It's clear that the nuts are made of a strong material, but U-bolts are too cheap to trust. I immediately emailed the company offering them an opportunity to respond and possibly rectify the situation, but they have not responded and it has been several weeks. 1 star, cheap junk.
