Review on πŸ” Premium Wilson Electronics Dual Band Diplexer/Combiner - Optimized for 800-1900 MHz Frequencies by Michael Hale

Electrically OK, but not weatherproof

In terms of RF technology, this looks quite good, but mechanically it has its pitfalls. port is only about 0.8 dB. This is much better than the claimed 3dB loss. Rejection in the opposite area is over 40 dB, which should be sufficient for most applications. For an N-connector device, I expected it to be somewhat weatherproof. However, it is not weatherproof at all. There is no gasket on the removable cover, and the screws that attach the cover to the case were too long for me, and two of them didn't even fit fully. After loosening one screw to tighten it, I replaced the cheap screws with stainless steel screws. And I added an automotive gasket between the cover and the chassis so it can be installed outdoors. I'm using it to power two different Yagi antennas pointing in different directions and with this weatherproof mod it should work fine for that.
