I bought this to use with 2 XBee Pro (version 1). One connects to this module and the other connects to the Sainsmart XBee Arduino Shield installed in the Arduino Mega. While there are no instructions on the device, the Sainsmart website had initial instructions that got me to where I needed to be in Windows 7. Just plug the XBee into this module (use the shape outlines on this module to align the XBee). and plugging this module (which comes with the required cable!) into a USB port caused Windows 7 to detect this device and automatically install all drivers. I downloaded XCTU sw and the device was found immediately. I intend to try to get it working with a Raspian powered Raspberry PI and will report on the experience.
