It works, but I'm disappointed in a number of ways. First, the size of the holes is so large that I feel like I need to either swap out the filler for a bulkier one or scoop out the filler that was supposed to go away, which defeats the whole purpose of it. I think they wanted to make it big enough for pellet sized cat litter - like clay litter. But clay litter is not suitable for your cats, so I don't like it. I'm currently using Tidy Cat's Multi-Clumping Free & Clean Unscented Litter and it clumps really well, but there are bits of urine that clump together and end up falling all over the tub. The second thing that disappointed me was the small tray. I prefer litter boxes with high sides because my cat has CH and desperately needs something to lean on when in the litter box, or just ends up lying in her poo and urinating. I temporarily place his scratching post, which he doesn't use, next to the litter box, but I have a feeling this isn't the litter box I'm going to use because of those two things. This makes cleaning the litter box a lot easier, but I don't think it's just for me and my cat due to its condition. Things to consider if you have a special needs cat.
