Review on PetSafe Happy Ride Dog Barrier - Front Seat Barrier for Cars, Trucks, and SUVs by Julie Watkins

I did a lot of research before choosing this barrier for my dog. I have a 2 door Fiat 500 and really wish she wouldn't jump in the front seats as she loses a lot! Besides functionality, aesthetics were also important and I liked that this barrier didn't have thick, heavy metal bars like some others and just blended into them. The mesh does not obstruct my rear view and my dog can see me from the back seat. She's really enjoying her little space there, and especially after feeding her some treats under the barrier, she likes to stay where she is! The instructions call for securing the center section of the barrier to the center console with an attached strap (in addition to the headrests on the sides of the barrier), but my car doesn't have a center console. The workaround was to attach the strap to the e-brake where it would fit snugly without affecting the e-brake's function. The adjustable straps worked great to secure everything in place. The barrier has some give, so I can leave it in place and still slide the seat forward to allow my dog to get in and out of the back seat, just being careful not to flex it too much. Holds up well and does exactly what it's supposed to. I am very happy with it.
