Review on 📝 Strathmore Gray Drawing Sketch Pad, 400 Series, Toned Paper, 5.5x8.5 inches, 50 Sheets by Carrie Spencer

Has a slightly warm almost French gray tone, if you use Prismacolor pencils it is about "30% French Grey". in tone - there are a few traces of grain where the stained paper has picked up a little more color than expected leaving small smudges on every other page that look like errant pencil marks, but nothing disturbs the texture of the paper. or the ability to pick up color from pencils (whether graphite or crayons), although I will say alcohol markers don't show up their normal color on this paper - and look more muted on this paper unless washed out. (Markers also bleed easily through this paper so be careful when applying base color and make sure you have a release liner under the page you are working on to protect the page underneath and also make sure make sure you apply it at least twice to avoid any risk of leaks ) Also fantastic paper, you can buy a larger format for more complicated designs at home.
