FedEx strikes again. The box looks like it fell out of a plane and landed on a big cactus 🌵. Opened it up in front of the FedEx guy and the handle was ripped off. He was going to pick it up but I reluctantly accepted because I paid an additional $65 shipping fee to get it before my 2000 mile trip a few days later. I called DT-PRO and they sent me a new pen. Buy with confidence that there is indeed customer service that answers the phone and is very nice. I'm so glad I didn't have to return it and ruin the trip. ***UPDATE*** 3000 miles on a week long trip to Glacier National Park and it worked great. I set both sides to 25 degrees F after some experimentation and it turned out to be a good temperature for cold drinks and fresh food without freezing anything. It worked well with frequency when we opened it in Eco mode. It's quiet and efficient. My auxiliary battery has never dropped below 12.6 volts overnight with the truck off. We slept right next to it a couple of times and it's very quiet. You can get a lot of food in this thing. I love the detachable baskets, interior light, built in battery and phone app which makes programming and monitoring easy. The individual flip lids are great and easy to remove. The only downside is it's not super insulated so no cooler, but we left it in a hot car on a 108 degree day and it never missed a beat in Eco mode. Very happy with my purchase (replacement pen sent via beer) 👍
