Review on Mintcraft TWC0534 3L Pipe Strap by Adam Abner

This is advertised as 24 gauge galvanized tape but it is not. I am installing a water heater in California and building codes require 24 gauge galvanized seismic tape, I have 25' 28' and 5' 24' but I need a lot more. Building regulations and I can get it in 2 days. Yes. Or, as it turns out, no! I opened the box and looked through the clear packaging and could see it wasn't a .24. The packaging only says "galvanized 3/4" 10 ft", nothing for the gauge. Galvanized steel is 24 gauge = 0.71mm thick, 28 gauge = 0.47mm thick, I got 0.41 gauge measured with my precision calipers so 30 gauge, just to be sure I used the same calipers and measured the 28 gauge band at .47 and my 24 gauge bracelet at .71 which is within spec in the header but again there is no gauge indication on the box I do not recommend buying it I would never have bought this if I knew there was no gauge marking on the box To trace gauge 24 everyone sells 28 gauge big shops so I ordered it from Revain Please note I'm not blaming Revain just advising them to check this site's ad and change it to 30 gauge.
