Review on Moog K8259 Ball Joint by Bryan Ramirez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Moog is as good as it gets these days

It's no secret that part quality has fallen down the toilet over the last 11 years or so, but Moog is still a fixture in the market. There's a lot of junk out there, even though most of their stuff is made overseas these days. I will not install anything less on my cars or my clients' cars. Bought this K8259 lower ball joint for my trusty '86 Mercury Grand Marquis. The other 3 ball joints I bought from NAPA in 2005 all have over 150,000 miles and still work! One of these failed 5 years ago because I didn't clean the oiler before greasing it. They must have put some sand in it. Exchanged it for another NAPA as I was so lucky with the others. Well, after only 3 years the boot ripped, water got in and stayed (a prime example of current quality). 2 years and the connection has become sloppy and worn out. Bought a replacement Moog here. I expect it to last as long or even longer than the other 3 ball joints.

Pros

Cons
