Bought Me Galua kickboxing gloves. It's good, not great. It's a bit small for me, although I do find I have thick arms as simply measuring width doesn't give a good indication of fit. Although I was still coming up judging by the dimensional grid, it was very dense. I think a few/several reviewers said it was flimsy and didn't offer the protection desired, and at least one said it rubbed on the joints. All of these comments are mostly correct. However, I like thinner gloves as they offer more flexibility when transitioning from one exercise set to the next. This will hurt a little if you're using a heavy punching bag and going all out. The wrist support isn't great but I believe any type of MMA/Muay Thai glove will have this issue so buy a size up and get an inner sleeve that looks like bandages. Eventually this will chafe the knuckles and I believe all MMA/Muay Thai style gloves will do this as the first and second knuckles are exposed. Because your first knuckles are wrapped around your hands, when you make a fist, only your second knuckles are exposed. I believe only boxing gloves guarantee no chafing of the second joints. However, there are a few things you can try: 1) Focus on hitting with only your protected knuckles, being careful not to touch the pocket and second knuckles - this is quite difficult, but it provides some protection if you win. Contacting so often is not the best strategy Neither is a good solution, boxing gloves would again be the best cover. All in all, for the price, it's still worth it with issues and all. I use it daily for a few days and it lasts very well so again good for the price. Quick update: After writing the review, I put the gloves back on the next day and noticed a tear in the seams. hope i can fix it. If I can fix the problem or ask the company to fix it, the rating still doesn't change. Just a little disappointed that it breaks so quickly. I have Go gloves for training and weightlifting that I have been using for over 6 years and they have not started to tear. Update February 19, 2021: I came back and got a new pair, so the company got it right. However, after 3 uses, they tear again in the same place - along the seam between the thumb and forefinger. I'm considering returning them and getting something else, but I think I can just sew them together so I don't have to spend time and money returning this item again. However, I downgraded my rating by another star to 3. Update 04/17/2021: Well, I didn't sew up the small tear and I use it almost every day. The tear didn't grow, at least I can't see it with the naked eye. As I use it more and learn to lock my wrist better, I find the wrist support adequate, although for a newbie this can be a big issue. Even now, my wrist is bending from the hard impact, partly because I'm not tensing enough, partly because of the minimal wrist support. The padding doesn't offer much support, but as I've written before, I prefer it, but there are a few bumps where I really feel the Wavemaster's hard plastic neck. For me it's normal, for a new user it might be a problem. However, I love it, but I don't love it.
