The first thing I did after receiving the Bit was try it out on a piece of Galvanized Roof Gutter . It took more then 2 minutes to make the initial first step hole , The next thing was to make another hole of the same size with a Dewalt bit which did better . Then I went back to the step bit and each other increment took about 30 seconds . .Bottom line you get what you pay for ,there is a reason why you can spend $ 50 for the same size bit . .If you need to go though a piece of stainless steel you will need to put some thought into what your willing to spend . For my occasional use it will do.
