The sturdy aluminum construction is a great idea for keeping the surface to be polished flat. Unfortunately, the velcro begins to separate from the aluminum almost immediately during pad changes. The more often you change the pads, the more the Velcro detaches from the disc. I was polishing a counter and about halfway through it started happening. I sent it back because I thought I received a defective product and wanted to like this product. The new ones that were sent to me started peeling off after the first pad change. Pity! From now on I would stick with the Damo tail mounts. I've buffed two posts with a 4" Damo Super Flex back mount (this one works well on curved surfaces) and the velcro hasn't come off one iota after a dozen pad changes. get a refund from it.
