My cat has stopped pulling her hair

My cat has developed an odd tendency to pull out large strands of hair at random times for no apparent reason, resulting in bald spots and patches. The vet recommended 75mg of Zilken. I eventually switched to this and gave half a capsule a day to cut costs. I haven't noticed any significant change in my cats temperament other than stopping hair pulling which is great. If the intake is stopped for more than a day or two, the hair pulling will start again. I'm not making random attempts here, but it does indicate its effectiveness. The active ingredient is milk protein alpha-caseinate. I've considered just buying casein protein and giving it to my cat, but the active ingredient here is much more concentrated. The capsules are very easy to open and add to wet food. As far as I can tell there is no unpleasant taste change as my cat happily eats this with just an ounce of wet food. it is not so bad.
