This is one of the best UTHs I've found and it's very handy that it comes with a thermostat. I can't speak for other people's products, but what I got seems pretty accurate. It took 4 to 5 hours to heat up to 90°F with the thermostat. The probe's suction cup doesn't stick to glass very well, but that's fine with me because I insert the probe into my reptile's warm skin, which sits over the UTH to control the temperature inside. I would still recommend that you buy a separate thermometer, e.g. B. a heat gun to check the surface temperature. Coupled with a ceramic radiant heater, it keeps a good temperature inside the case even in the cold winters we have here.
