2019 F150 with temp sensor

2019 F150 STX - I was skeptical ordering this unit as they (supplier) reply but also vague in their answers. I was concerned that the temperature sensor on the passenger side would not be noticed by the on-board computers and wind noise. Since there was a temperature sensor on the passenger side, I started with it first, and when it was half installed, it was enough to connect the wiring, I turned on the truck and it started working. That was a relief so I folded and finished the other side as well. Pros: Standard Ford mirrors and these mirrors have the same screw and hole alignment which makes installation fairly easy, make sure you have the connectors in place, I thought mine were and I moved the wiring around and it just came loose and I had to pull the plug and plug it back in. I checked the power door mirrors and they worked, I used the turn signals and hazard lights and they worked. I took the truck for a ride on the road and between 3:45pm I heard wind noise, but when I got onto the freeway there was no wind noise. The mirrors appear to be well made, no wobble, solid and sturdy. Cons - There are no instructions at all. Technical support is one sentence and a few words. The interior mirror insulation (the part that attaches to the door) is fine, but not the same as the Ford. The mirrors were wrapped in cellophane and it stuck to the mirrors and left marks, but the Vindex didn't work, so I had to wipe it down with rubbing alcohol and a towel. I'm not sure if this is supposed to work, but when you turn on the headlights the LED strip on the mirrors doesn't light up, they only light up when you use the turn signals. In the end I was surprisingly satisfied. With the results, time will tell and I'll update in a few weeks. NOTE: Your stock mirrors have a hard plastic latch inside the mirror housing that you cannot see from the side. You really need to sort this out and make sure you're not scratching the door trying to get it out. Much luck.

  • Good thing
Cons
