Review on 1080P Webcam with Microphone, Privacy Cover, and Tripod - Plug and Play USB Computer Camera for Video Calling, Recording, Conferencing - Web Cam for Zoom, Laptops, and Computers by Hugh Starr

Broken USB cable, ridiculous lack of strain relief.

My camera stopped working after a few months. I opened it up and found that the USB ground wire had been ripped off the pad. The cable doesn't seem to have any real strain relief. Surrounding the cable is a zip tie, not connected to anything, and a bead of adhesive that may have once held the cable to the side of the case. None of these are adequate stress relievers. In addition, the soldering is rather inferior. I don't know how common these issues are, but this product has manufacturing and quality control issues at best. A terrible design at worst with a very simple aspect that is cheap to do right. I don't know what's going on, but it was an ugly waste of time anyway. Also, with the camera on, the microphone was always too quiet to be useful, even at maximum volume.

Pros
  • COMPUTER CAMERA WITH MIC: The computer camera with microphone has two built-in stereo microphones, which can automatically reduce noise and make calls and recordings clearer and brighter. Even in noisy environments, you can still hear your voice clearly.
