An interesting trick for embroiderers with a counting cross

My daughter likes painful things. I don't know why, but the statue of Anubis, the ancient Egyptian god of the underworld, was the Christmas present she was screaming about. (She is 39 years old.) She has been interested in bones and other things since she saw dinosaur bone fossils. She likes sugar skulls from Latin America's Day of the Dead. Just a terrible thing. Lots of black. So this black Aida fabric is perfect for embroidering a sugar skull or anubis or any other spooky spooky image or phrase. LOVE the more types of things I can sew out of it. Whether it is good for beginners; no different from light Aida - COUNT, COUNT, COUNT. Make sure the different parts are properly aligned and hold the AIDA napkin FIRMLY in the hoop. That is the difference. All stitches are the same length as everyone else and you will end up with a very nice project.

Pros
  • Absolutely brilliant!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
