Review on TRENDnet TEW-649UB Mini USB 2.0 Adapter - Ultra-Fast Wireless N 150 Mbps by Josh Schaefer

Key arrived relatively quickly and in good condition. Comes in original retail packaging. HOWEVER, the claimed speed of 300 Mbps is not entirely accurate. It wasn't until I installed the drivers (which wasn't easy on the XP machine. Four attempts, but still failing) that I found that the transfer speed reported by the setup utility was only 150Mbps. So I went to TrendNet.com and found out that the maximum data transfer rate of the device is 150Mbps and 300Mbps. This was a real disappointment as I waited for the price of a real mini dongle to drop at 300 (ie each way) and ended up with only 1/2 of what I wanted. Considered for a long time, send or not. In the end we decided to leave - to replace later if something else came up. Seller: Be careful what you post! I am on sale and your description is misleading and incorrect!
