Review on πŸ” Enhanced SEO: PORTER-CABLE Pruning Reciprocating Saw Blades, 9-Inch, 3-Pack (PC760R) by Brad Jeffress

Root cutting is good for blades

I spent a lot of money on other big brand blades a few years ago and none of them rooted. They were acceptable for overhead trimming, but I have better tools for that. As I was about to use the last blade, I noticed that none of the teeth were misaligned. I stopped using a saber saw and switched to a chainsaw (destroyed 2 more blades) and I was planning to give up the pneumomill and rent it for 3 days after I stumbled upon an underground brick (the previous owners have a lot of surprises leave behind). . I ordered these blades based on an 8 year old forum post, figuring if that doesn't work I might as well rent a stump grinder. I just removed 20 azaleas and other root balls in about 2 hours without having to dig up first. I messed up 2 blades and the third will probably cut 3 or 4 more rootballs, but it's a massive improvement over the flat blades and a lot cheaper than the damage I caused the chainsaw to do. I have ordered 2 more sets to complete the work. For some bigger roots I might still need a stump grinder but I can rent one for 4 hours instead of 3 days.
